Radio Accounting Authority (RAA)

All vessels sailing the seas with communications onboard must now appoint a Radio Accounting Authority, according to the Legal provisions of the Maritime Administrations and the International Conventions. The shipowner of the vessel needs to have a legal contract with the Radio Accounting Authority that will take care of international maritime radio traffic charges for terrestrial and satellite radiocommunications (radio or Inmarsat satellite) from ship to shore, from the different operators available in various countries.

By choosing Radio Lloyd (AAIC PG-19) as your Radio Accounting Authority you will never need to sort through these numerous bills and you will receive a single invoice as we take care of paying the various operators for you, saving you time, and removing any hassle.

Allow us to make things easy for you while meeting the mandatory requirements. We will assume full responsibility for the payment of the radiocommunication charges for your vessels!

Point of Service Activation (PSA)

What is a PSA and why it matters? PSA is an entity authorized by Inmarsat with the approval of the Administrations to accept and process applications for MES service activation. It also assigns Inmarsat Mobile Numbers and transmits customer service activation information to the Inmarsat Customer Activation group.

Radio Lloyd will work directly with your company to perform all functions regarding Inmarsat equipment activations, including the SSAS and LRIT, deactivations and maintenance of customer information held in Inmarsat’s ESAS for all vessels. This includes changes in vessels’- owners’ and Accounting Authorities details or accounting identity.

To begin the registration, all you need to do is to complete the SARF, sign it and send it to us.

LRIT CONFORMANCE Testing

The Long-Range Identification and Tracking (LRIT) system allows the global identification and tracking of ships to enhance security of shipping. It’s designed to ensure safety and enhance marine environment protection.

All ships are required to transmit LRIT information according to regulation V/19-1 of the 1974 SOLAS Convention, which also states the rights and obligations of SOLAS Contracting Governments and of Search and rescue services to receive LRIT information

Our team will help and assist you in obtaining the LRIT Certificate for the vessels registered in any Flag State, through agreements with reputable LRIT providers.
